Kim Barnard graduated from Marymount University in Arlington, VA where she earned both her
Bachelor’s in science and Doctorate in Physical Therapy. She has been practicing Physical Therapy, primarily in the orthopedic outpatient setting since 2004. In 2014, she underwent pelvic floor physical therapy training through the Herman and Wallace Institute and has been working with women and men pelvic floor patients as well as outpatient orthopedic patients. She also enjoys working with the sports rehabilitation patients as she played competitive NCAA soccer at Marymount University.
Kim strongly believes in utilizing manual therapy, including myofascial release, joint mobilizations with manual stretching in combination with strengthening, stabilization and balance to restore functional physiological movement. She is passionate about returning her patients to their maximum level of function.
She moved to Ventura from San Diego with her husband and 2 kids in 2018 and has been working at Globerman Physical Therapy since November 2018. While in San Diego, Kim was the director of an outpatient clinic which provided orthopedic, pelvic floor, pediatric, and acupuncture services. Kim and her family enjoy being outdoors, going to the beach, hiking and bike riding.
